About Poor Richard’s
Poor Richard’s is actually four businesses sharing one building on North Tejon Street: a New York style pizza restaurant, an independent bookstore, a toy store, and Rico’s Cafe & Wine Bar. It has anchored that block of downtown since 1975. The menu covers vegan, vegetarian and gluten free options alongside the pizza, and there is a back patio for warmer weather.
Local tip: The bookstore runs a used book buy-back program, so it is worth bringing a bag of paperbacks along if you are already headed downtown. Poor Richard’s also hosts First Friday Art Walks, live music and trivia nights through the year. Check their site for the current schedule before you go.
